Tour of MidWest MicroDevices Facility

IEEE Toledo members visited the MidWest MicroDevices facility on September 2012.

MidWest MicroDevices is a dedicated wafer foundry for Microelectromechanical systems (MEMS), micro-sensors and specialized thin film devices. They provide MEMS and non-MEMS thin film fabrication processing for emerging to medium volume applications. Their facility includes Class 10, Class 100, and Class 1,000 production areas for precise standards of cleanliness and quality along with a full set of micro-fabrication tools.

MidWest MicroDevices equipment set and facility are designed to meet the needs of the modern MEMS customer, providing processing flexibility and capability. MidWest MicroDevices support their customer’s needs from concept and design, to initial prototype and volume production. Their clientele includes Fortune 100 companies in Biomedical, Aerospace, Defense, Transportation and Instrumentation industries.
