Early registration is now open for a limited number developer, designer and business (non-technical) attendees for Startup Weekend Toledo, September 14-16, 2012 at the University of Toledo.

Attendees of Startup Weekend Toledo:

Get to pitch their ideas to the group

Join teams for the top ideas and spend all weekend developing those ideas: business model creation, coding, designing, and market validation

Learn-by-doing, the best way to get insights into what it takes to create a startup

Are fed to keep them going during the weekend (lots of caffeinated drinks, too)

Have access to coaches to help them

Will listen to inspriational and educational speakers during the “breaks”

Can pitch to a panel of judges and could win prizes

Could be part of a team that continues its development beyond Startup Weekend Toledo

Get to hang out with the brightest and most interesting people in the Toledo region

Sleep a lot on the Monday after the intense weekend

The 2nd Startup Weekend Toledo will take place Friday, September 20 – Sunday, September 23 at the University of Toledo. Register now to reserve your spot in the weekend of fun and learning.

All Startup Weekend events follow the same basic model: anyone is welcome to pitch their startup idea and receive feedback from their peers. Teams organically form around the top ideas (as determined by popular vote) and then it’s a 54 hour frenzy of business model creation, coding, designing, and market validation. The weekends culminate with presentations in front of local entrepreneurial leaders with another opportunity for critical feedback.

Startup Weekend Toledo is hosting a mixer on September 17th after TEDxToledo. The mixer is open to everyone, especially those who intend on attending Startup Weekend, and anyone interested in the event. The mixer will help you learn some of the logistics (like what to bring) of Startup Weekend Toledo and will give you an opportunity to get to know the other attendees.

The mixer will be Thursday, September 17, 2015, from 6:00pm – 8:00pm at Seed Coworking , 25 South Saint Clair Street, in downtown Toledo (directions ). Light food and refreshments will be provided.
