James Elkins is E.C. Chadbourne Professor in the Department of Art History, Theory, and Criticism, School of the Art Institute of Chicago, where he received his MA, MFA and PhD. Elkins is a published author of many art history, theory and scientific books. Hosted by the Edwin H. Simmons Creative Minds Series of the Arts Departments at Bowling Green State University.

Sharon Harr, Univ. of Michigan Architecture Graduate Professor

Sharon Haar is professor and Chair of the Architecture program at Taubman College.

Her current research investigates the role of entrepreneurship, design innovation, and global networking in the transformation of architectural practices devoted to social activism and humanitarian relief.

Professor Haar has taught at Parsons School of Design in New York and at the University of Illinois at Chicago where she was professor of architecture and the Associate Dean for Research at the College of Architecture, Design, and the Arts. She received her Bachelor of Art from Wesleyan University and her Master of Architecture from Princeton University.

Amy Fidler & Jenn Stucker โ€“ Graphic Design SWEAT Program

Amy Fidler and Jenn Stucker are co-founders & organizers of the Summer Workshop for Experimentation and Thought (SWEAT).

Amy received her BFA from BGSU and MFA from School of the Art Institute of Chicago, Visual Communication and Jenn earned her BFA from BGSU and her MFA from Eastern Michigan University, Graphic Design. Both are dedicated faculty in the Graphic Design department at Bowling Green State University and co-founders of AIGA Toledo.

The SWEAT program founded by Amy and Jenn creates an outlet to give designers and design students the opportunity to collaborate, create compelling, poignant work and engage in some summer fun. And as with all good, hard work, SWEAT is required.
