CoderDojo Toledo 3rd Anniversary Party (6/2)

More Information:

It’s no secret that coding is HOT these days. Every where we turn, there are awesome events happening in our region and around the world.

While we’re on the topic of cool things happening in our region, CoderDojo Toledo is celebrating its THIRD ANNIVERSARY on Saturday, June 2nd.

Stop by to celebrate with us. We will be downtown 12-3pm, at 25 S. Huron (across the street from Grumpy’s) and we will be exploring what the next three years looks like for getting kids engaged in technology. And we want YOUR input. And yes, there will be cake and celebration.

CoderDojo is a global movement of free, volunteer-led, community-based programming clubs for young people. At a Dojo, young people, between 7 and 17, learn how to code, develop websites, apps, programs, games and explore technology in an informal and creative environment.

In addition to learning to code, attendees meet like-minded people and are exposed to the possibilities of technology. Within the CoderDojo Movement, there is a focus on community, peer learning, youth mentoring and self-led learning, with an emphasis on showing how coding is a force for change in the world.

The Toledo Region's first Coder Dojo meets every Saturday from noon to 3pm.
