GTAC-ASTD General Meeting: Experiential Learning with Deb Duke of DMA Leadership

"Lead Mare” is an Equine Assisted Learning (EAL) program using horses in leadership training. This creates experiential learning opportunities for exploring and expanding our human potential. These experiences teach skills for developing intuition, compassion, boundaries and communication. As a leader, you need to be emotionally stable, and possess a high degree of emotional intelligence yet be passionate about your work. Horses give us a way to explore ourselves as energetic beings and to develop the ability to communicate with others more skillfully. Essentially, we work in the horse arena to be better prepared for the business arena. Horses also promote cross-cultural interaction and participation in an ever-changing work environment.

Deborah Duke is the founder and a principal member of DMA Leadership, LLC where she takes an active role in Leadership development as well as Executive Business Advisory to her clients and partners. Her passion is to build a leadership practice dedicated to helping business owners overcome obstacles and execute their vision. Duke’s main initiative is to provide the leadership guidance needed to promote extraordinary teamwork within your organization through corporate training and development.
