Presenters will take the stage for 10 minutes each, 5 minutes to demo and 5 minutes to answer questions, followed by open announcements and community networking. Erie Hack: Information Session

Erie Hack is an innovation challenge that accelerates technology solutions to Lake Erie’s most pressing problems. During several months in 2019, Erie Hack will empower researchers, designers, engineers, developers and creatives around the region to build teams, develop innovations, and compete for more than $100,000 in prizes.
Come learn how you can get involved with Erie Hack, a data and engineering competition that unites technologists, engineers, Farmers, and water experts to generate enduring solutions to Lake Erie’s biggest challenges.
The evening will include roundtable sessions and a Q&A session with water and technology experts from the area.

Alex Lim - Alex Lim is a Biological Engineer working with Resonance Group, Ltd. and a co-founder of the non-profit organization, Midstory. He is collaborating with a group of researchers to develop aquatic nutrient monitoring and remediation systems to tackle the issues of algal blooms. He grew up in Kalamazoo, MI and received a B.S. in Biological Engineering from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT). Alex’s experiences include work with various groups including the MIT Media Lab's OpenAg Initiative, labs in the Koch Institute of Integrated Cancer Research, and the MIT Synthetic Biology Center. Currently, Alex is leading a pilot project involving constructed floating wetlands and sensor technology for real-time data analysis as a platform for future large-scale development.
