Applied Technology Integration

The Toledo Regional Chamber of Commerce Solar Collaborative is hosting its first-ever event on May 3 at Applied Technology Integration in Maumee.

The event will feature Michael Forrester, energy program developer for the Ohio Office of Energy. Michael will share his thoughts on the progress of the State of Ohio's current solar initiatives.

There will also be networking time following the presentation. Craig Winn, president and CEO of The Applied Group, will also lead a tour of their new state-of-the-art facility.

Nitschke Technology Commercialization Complex (U. Toledo)

We invite you to come and meet some of the Toledo Region Chamber staff and hear more about the numerous cost-saving benefits, educational opportunities and networking events the Chamber provides for members. You'll also have the opportunity to meet other area business owners and discuss common issues in this challenging marketplace.

This month's event will be held at the University of Toledo's Nitschke Technology Commercialization Complex (NTCC) and Auditorium, which is a recently constructed, 40,000 square-foot facility that boasts large, flexible spaces ready for customization. The facility can support wet and dry labs, pilot manufacturing, and offices. To efficiently and effectively serve its clients, the NTCC can accommodate small businesses and their rapid growth -- starting from one person in the Group Workstation Center...and evolving to open environments of up to 3,000 square feet for lab, office, or light manufacturing space. Dr. Brian Randolph, Associate Dean in the College of Engineering, will also be on hand to talk more about UT and this unique space.

Success Story: CentraComm

This new year brings a new luncheon series for Toledo Regional Chamber members and guests. Each month we will hear from a successful business owner or officer - a good news story of how a company achieved growth or succeeded in some other way.

Our first Success Story is CentraComm and we will hear from its President, Mark Robinson. CentraComm was formed in 2001 as an Internet Service Provider (ISP). They quickly made a name for themselves, providing routing solutions for customers in a variety of industries and providing exceptional customer service.
