You will not want to miss the "Pitch & Pour After Party!" Come celebrate with some of the area's coolest tech startups. Enjoy cocktails, hors d'oeuvres, networking and hear pitches from some of the region's most innovative entrepreneurs.

Hosted by the University of Findlay College of Business, the Innovation Competition provides an opportunity for undergraduate students to learn more about innovation and entrepreneurship through the development of an idea, creation of a business model, and delivery of a final presentation.

On Wednesday, April 20, 2016, at 7:00 pm in the Winebrenner Main Auditorium, finalists in the three divisions will make a two-minute presentation to a panel of judges. This will be followed by a three-minute question and answer period.

The presentation will be a synopsis of the enterprise and the goal is to persuade the panel to invest (by providing time, energy, or resources) in the contestant’s idea.

All awards will be based upon the presentation and all previously submitted materials.

The official announcement of the winners will take place at the end of the evening’s program.

A reception will be held after all winners have been announced.

It is no secret that nutrient pollution and Harmful Algae Blooms are one of the biggest challenges facing Lake Erie and its communities. For the last three months, the IoH2O Challenge has helped teams of researchers, technology professionals, and entrepreneurs build and deploy pilot projects aimed at impacting this challenge. By integrating next-generation sensor, networking, and analytics technology into a single system, each of these teams is working to create an end-to-end solution that leverages nutrient data to inform decision-making in real-time.

On October 27th, five finalist teams will give shark tank style pitches to a panel of judges from IBM, Cisco, US EPA and more at the scenic Catawba Island Club.

Which of them will have what it takes and walk away with $50,000 in cash?

Pitch & Pour is a competition where startup companies compete for over $10,000 in cash and business services, and will have the opportunity to pitch their business ideas to the Toledo's entrepreneurial community.

We’re looking for high tech/high growth, technology enabled, and web-based enterprises that demonstrate innovation and business concepts with the potential to develop into successful companies.

Last year’s attendees included many of the region's entrepreneurs, investors, mentors, angel investors, and area businesses who listened to six budding companies give their best 5 minute pitch to the audience and a team of seasoned judges, made up of regional entrepreneurs and business leaders.

If you're a start-up company, this is an opportunity to move the needle. If you're an investor, this could be where you find your next venture. If you're neither, just come on down and enjoy the festivities!
