Microsoft Azure, SharePoint & Yammer
HCR ManorCare

Joe Baeza, Microsoft, will be presenting 2 topics: An Overview of Microsoft Azure, plus SharePoint and Yammer – Cloud vs. On-Premises.

Microsoft Azure offers an ever-expanding set of cloud services. The sheer number of the services in Azure can make it challenging to understand the clear value proposition for cloud computing: speed, scale, and economics. The service is continually evolving to provide this value with a focus on the things Microsoft customers require: security, integration with existing on-premises systems, and access to the latest innovations in technology??.

Social capabilities are quickly becoming a prerequisite for today's businesses. SharePoint and Yammer work together to provide these services. The integration of Yammer is an ongoing journey with a focus on SharePoint Online and SharePoint on-premises.?

The Architecture of Understanding
One SeaGate (Fifth Third Center)

Save the date for the June edition of the NorthWest Ohio SharePoint User Group meeting.

All meetings begin with networking from 10:30-11:00, presentation from 11:00-12:00 and lunch served at 12:00 for additional networking until 1:00 PM.

This quarter, NWSPUG branches out to feature Peter Morville, information architecture guru from Ann Arbor, for the Toledo stop on his "The Architecture of Understanding" world tour.

Overview of the talk: We think we're designing software, websites, and experiences. But we're not. We are agents of change. Our systems shape belief and behavior at scale. If we hope to be better, empathy for the user isn't enough. We must also wrangle with culture, governance, methods, metrics, and the false dichotomies of mind-body and plan-build, because the things we make are reflections of how we see and sort ourselves. In this spirited tour of information architecture, organizational strategy, and systems thinking, Peter Morville draws from his new book, Intertwingled, to reveal how everything is connected from code to culture.

The event will be FREE but we expect to sell out.
