Mobile UX (Virtual) Summit
Hanson Inc

The Mobile UX Summit: 27 tips and 2 case studies. A virtual event from Rosenfeld Media and Environments for Humans.

We asked six of the smartest people we know to provide practical advice on designing mobile experiences: Josh Clark, Brad Frost, Theresa Neil, Greg Nudelman, Jason CranfordTeague, and Mike Fisher. They'll spend a day covering case studies and tips from real-life projects, and answering your questions. You'll walk away with new mobile UX insight and skills—and recordings from the day's sessions to boot.

Hanson Inc. is sponsoring a physical location for this virtual event at no cost to our friends in the Toledo Region User Experience community. We have room for 60-70 people: however, about 30 people can sit at a table (for working), and the remainder would have chair seating towards the back. Therefore, seating will be on a "first come" basis. We should have some limited access to outlets for powering up.

We're asking everyone who wants to attend to register, so that we have space and service available.

SCHEDULE: The first speaker is scheduled for 10am, but you should plan to arrive before that, as early as 9am is fine. The event runs until 5pm.

FOOD/DRINKS: Hanson will provide beverages (coffee, tea, water and soft drinks) throughout the day. You could bring a lunch and put it in our fridge, or step out for lunch, or we have an option for you to have us bring in lunch from Panera Bread (salad/sandwiches) for $10. Lunch is scheduled for 1-2pm EST.

React Mini-Workshop
MaritzCX

React has received exponential growth among its user base in the last couple years but the speed at which front-end development libraries change can be daunting.

At this meetup, join Ryan and Joel Lanciaux explain why React is a solid choice and how to get started without being overwhelmed. In addition to using React for the web, we will also look at React native and how once you learn React, you are ready to write native mobile applications (not a web view -- actually native).

Bring your laptop or be ready to pair-program with another TWP member as there will be some basic examples to go through.

About MaritzCX

With MaritzCX, businesses constantly discover new insights about their customers. They always have instant access to the CX information and resources they need to drive organizational change. And they never have to guess about how to earn the loyalty of customers.
