The University of Toledo College of Engineering presents:

ENGINEERING ETHICS: THE BASICS with Arthur Schwartz

Arthur Schwartz is the deputy executive director and general counsel of the National Society of Professional Engineers (NSPE), and he also serves as the executive director of the National Academy of Forensic Engineers, an NSPE affinity group.

In addition to monthly columns in NSPE’s monthly publication, PE magazine, Schwartz has written extensively for various professional journals on matters involving ethics, professional liability, risk management, contracts, engineering licensing, public health and safety, conflicts of interest, confidentiality, and other topics relevant to the practicing engineer.

He will address many of these professional practice issues as the 2016 Alfred H. Samborn Distinguished Lecturer.

Code of Ethics for Professional Engineers & Surveyors

Ohio HB 236 (signed into law in January 2017) requires professional engineers and surveyors complete at least 2 PDH in professional ethics or rules relevant to engineering or surveying practices.

IEEE Toledo is hosting a presentation on “Code of Ethics for Professional Engineers & Surveyors”. Our guest speaker is John Greenhalge, Executive Director of the Ohio Professional Engineers & Surveyors Board.

Two Professional Development Hours offered!

This event is open to members and non-members. Dinner options are chicken tarragon and vegetarian lasagna. Costs are $50 for both dinner and presentation, and $30 for presentation only.
