Kristen Bury- NASA
Nitschke Technology Commercialization Complex (U. Toledo)

We invite all women and men in computing to attend the ACM-W first event of the year where we will have a guest speaker.

Come hear Kristen Bury share her career, the Artemis program and NASA’s plans to send the first woman and next man on the moon.

In July this year, we celebrated NASA’s 50th anniversary of the historic Apollo 11 Moon mission- First Human Landing on the Moon! We are excited to have Kristen share her experiences! This event has no costs.

Light refreshments will be served. This event is hosted jointly by the NWO ACM-W Professional Chapter and the UT ACM-W Student Chapter.

Bio: Kristen Bury is the Integration Manager in the European Service Module (ESM) Integration Office (EIO) at the NASA Glenn Research Center, supporting international programmatic integration related to Orion’s Service Module for the Artemis Program; the Artemis Program will land the first woman and next man on the moon. She has served in this role since late 2017. Previously, Ms. Bury served as a Power Systems Engineer for nearly 10 years, predominantly supporting ESM electrical power system (EPS) integration, modeling, and analysis in support of Orion vehicle and mission design operations decisions. Ms. Bury also served on the Glenn Research Center’s conceptual spacecraft design team as the EPS Design Lead, and completed over 40 EPS designs for a variety of space missions, requiring cross-discipline coordination and compromise to achieve the designs. Kristen holds a BS in Chemical Engineering with a minor in Chemistry from the University of Toledo.
