Toledo SOUP is back for its third course of crowd-funded community projects. Please join us on Sunday, September 8th, from 5-9 p.m. at Toledo School for the Arts, located at 333 14th Street #4 in Uptown Toledo.

You’ll hear from five new presenters, including Genevieve Abalos (The Art of Hope), Ben Cohen (The Macelwane Park Basketball Court Project), Aimee Reid (Children’s Theatre Workshop), Rachel Richardson (Art Corner Toledo) and Jamie Sampson (ADJ-ective New Music).

The public will decide which proposal will benefit from SOUP’s crowd-funding assistance.SOUP guests will also get to enjoy a brief presentation by our last micro-grant recipient, Audrey Johnson of Art Around Town.

So how does SOUP work? First you come to the event and donate $5 at the door ($1 for children ages 12 and under). Then eat a simple meal of soup, salad and bread while you listen to ideas for new community projects. Finally, vote for your favorite project. The top vote-getter will be awarded all the funds collected at the door.
