It is no secret that nutrient pollution and Harmful Algae Blooms are one of the biggest challenges facing Lake Erie and its communities. For the last three months, the IoH2O Challenge has helped teams of researchers, technology professionals, and entrepreneurs build and deploy pilot projects aimed at impacting this challenge. By integrating next-generation sensor, networking, and analytics technology into a single system, each of these teams is working to create an end-to-end solution that leverages nutrient data to inform decision-making in real-time.
On October 27th, five finalist teams will give shark tank style pitches to a panel of judges from IBM, Cisco, US EPA and more at the scenic Catawba Island Club.
Which of them will have what it takes and walk away with $50,000 in cash?
