What is a mastermind group?

Mastermind as a term was defined and popularized way back in 1937 by Napoleon Hill in his book Think and Grow Rich. Simply put, it’s a group (usually 4 - 8 individuals) focused around a common interest, who meet on a regular basis to help each other reach their fullest potential.

What is this group about?

The goal of Toledo Business Mastermind Meetup is to give entrepreneurs, freelancers and small business owners the chance to inspire and empower eachother to greatness. From first timers to seasoned pros, all levels of experience are welcome.

What are the benefits of joining a group like this?

• Support: Find like minded individuals that share an interest in business and support your goals.

• Perspectives: See things from different angles. Identify potential hurdles. Pivot if needed.

• Resources: Collaborate to leverage the combined experience and skillsets of the group.

• Accountability: Set goals to challenge and motivate action to achieve results.

What will a meeting look like?

• Beginning: Each person gives an update on their progress from the previous week or introduces themself (and their business/goals) to the group if it’s their first time.

• Middle: People with specific challenges or questions can step into the “Hot Seat” to receive the full benefit of the group dynamic. Through feedback, advice, and helpful criticism from group members, ideas are sparked and problems get solved.

• End: Each person sets specific goals for the next meeting, which get written down in a shareable document, creating accountability and momentum towards success.

Ground Rules:

• Be on time and end on time.

• Come prepared and with an open mind.

• Be authentic and respectful.

• Try to make regular weekly meetings.
